Living Document

A research brief produced on demand, triggered when a content marketer or PMM wants to write about a specific topic. This is the "do your homework" doc before writing anything. Sections:

  • Topic framing — how the world defines and discusses this topic; the dominant narratives and frames
  • What our customers say — how this topic appears in customer conversations; key themes, sentiment, representative quotes
  • The divergence — where the market's framing and our customers' reality diverge; where our customers have a perspective the market isn't capturing
  • Key claims and their evidence quality — specific assertions made in the market about this topic and whether evidence supports them
  • Competitive presence — who else is publishing or positioning around this topic, and what angle they're taking
  • Content opportunity — where an Amdahl-perspective piece could offer genuine novelty — grounded in the divergence between internal and external panes
  • Recommended angles — 2–3 concrete content angles with a brief rationale for each

Each brief is a versioned KB document. Multiple briefs on related topics accumulate into a searchable research library.
